District Judge Appointment: Naidoo

The Queen has appointed Maya Lakshmi Naidoo to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Clerkenwell and Shoreditch County Court and Family Court with effect from 14 April 2020, on a salaried part-time basis of 60%.

Maya Lakshmi Naidoo, aged 44 will be known as District Judge Naidoo. She was called to the Bar (M) in 2002. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015, and as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber in 2019.
