District Judge Appointment: Thistle

The Queen has appointed Dean Thistle to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Dartford County Court with effect from 6 December 2021.

Background Information

Dean Thistle, aged 38, will be known as District Judge Thistle. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2005 and called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2010. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
