District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Appointment: Deonarine

The Queen has appointed Shanta Deonarine to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Norwich Magistrates’ Court with effect from 9 March 2020.

Shanta Deonarine, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Deonarine. She was admitted to the Roll in 1999. She was appointed as an Assistant Coroner in 2007 and as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2012.
