The Queen has appointed Stephen Flint to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Walsall Magistrates’ Court with effect from 8 November 2021.

Background Information

Stephen Flint, aged 49, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Flint. He was admitted to the Roll in 2007. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019 and as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2019. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to Social Entitlement Chamber in 2020 and as a Fee-paid Employment Judge of the Employment Tribunal for England and Wales in 2020.
