The Queen has appointed Timothy Andrew Ellinger Godfrey to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court with effect from 23 March 2020.

Timothy Andrew Ellinger Godfrey, aged 45, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Godfrey. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1997. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2012.
