The Queen has appointed Stephen Leake to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Medway Magistrates’ Court with effect from 1 November 2021.

Background Information

Stephen Leake, aged 44, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Leake. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2002. He was appointed Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2019.
