The Queen has appointed David John Patrick Murray to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Walsall Magistrates’ Courts with effect from 3 February 2020.

David John Patrick Murray, aged 58 will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Murray. He was admitted to the Roll in 1988. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2009.
