Leighton Alexander Hughes has been appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal by the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder.

The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned him to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 2 January 2020.

Leighton Alexander Hughes, aged 52, will be known as Judge Leighton Hughes. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1989. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2007.
