Appointment as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber: Penrose

Martin Penrose has been appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal by the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder.

The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned him to the Social Entitlement Chamber with effect from 6 April 2020.

Notes to editors

Martin Penrose, aged 55, will be known as Judge Penrose. He was admitted to the Roll in 1992. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge, assigned to the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2004, as an Adjudicator, assigned to the Asylum Support Tribunal in 2006. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber in 2013.
