The King has appointed Judith Butler to be a salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Keith Lindblom.
The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned her to the Administrative Appeals Chamber with effect from 11 December 2023.
Judith Butler will be known as Upper Tribunal Judge Butler. She was called to the Bar in 1997. She was appointed as a Salaried Judge of the First tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2018.
