Appointment of a High Court Judge: Stanley KC
The Lady Chief Justice is delighted to welcome the appointment by His Majesty the King of Paul Stanley KC to the High Court.
Mr Justice Stanley will be assigned to the Business and Property Division where he will bring over 32 years of experience as a barrister, and over three years of judicial experience as a Deputy High Court Judge to the role.
This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements.
Background
Paul Stanley KC will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Stanley. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1993 and took Silk in 2010. He was appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2023.
He will take up appointment on 1 October 2026.
