Appointment of a High Court Judge: Twigger KC
The Lady Chief Justice is delighted to welcome the appointment by His Majesty the King of Andrew Twigger KC to the High Court.
Mr Justice Twigger will be assigned to the Business and Property Division where he will bring over 32 years of experience as a barrister, and three years of judicial experience as a Deputy High Court Judge to the role.
This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements.
Background
Andrew Twigger KC will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Twigger. He was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1994 and took Silk in 2011. He was appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2023.
He will take up appointment on 1 October 2026.
