The President of the Upper Tribunal, Administrative Appeals Chamber, The Honourable Dame Heather Williams, in exercise of the powers delegated to her by The Senior President of Tribunals, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Lindblom, has appointed Gareth Wilson to be a Resident Judge of the First-tier Tribunal.

He has been assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 1 August 2025.

Background Information

Gareth Wilson will be known as Resident Judge Wilson. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2002. In 2018, he was appointed as a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber, and in 2020, he was appointed as a Deputy Chairman of the Agricultural Lands Tribunals for Wales. He was also appointed as a Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge, Immigration and Asylum Chamber, in 2024.
