Chief Chancery Master Appointment: Shuman
The Queen has appointed Karen Ann Elizabeth Shuman to be Chief Master of the Chancery Division on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Royal Courts of Justice with effect from 23 July 2021.

Karen Ann Elizabeth Shuman, aged 53, will be known as Chief Chancery Master Shuman. She was called to the Bar in 1991 (Lincoln’s Inn). She was appointed as Chancery Master in 2017.
