Circuit Judge Appointment: Andrew Johnson

The King has appointed Andrew Johnson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at St Albans Crown Court, with effect from 2 December 2024.

Background Information

Andrew Johnson will be known as His Honour Judge Andrew Johnson. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2008. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2017 and as a Recorder in 2020.
