Circuit Judge Appointment: Blake
The Queen has appointed Alan Geoffrey Blake to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Luton Crown Court with effect from 12 September 2022.
Background Information
Alan Geoffrey Blake will be known as His Honour Judge Blake. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1997. He was appointed as an Assistant Coroner in 2019 and as a Recorder and a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2020.
