Circuit Judge Appointment: Brown
The King has appointed Stephen Brown to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Kingston-Upon-Hull Combined Court (County) with effect from 25 September 2023.
Stephen Brown will be known as His Honour Judge Stephen Brown. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2004. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2019.
