Circuit Judge Appointment: Cornell
The King has appointed Kate Cornell to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Crown Court with effect from 02 October 2023.
Kate Cornell will be known as Her Honour Judge Cornell. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2003. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2018.
