Circuit Judge Appointment: Counsell
The King has appointed Sarah Counsell to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Canterbury Combined Court Centre, with effect from 25 November 2024.
Background Information
Sarah Counsell will be known as Her Honour Judge Counsell. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2001. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2019.
