Circuit Judge Appointment: Deane
The King has appointed Charlotte Deane to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Burnley County Court, with effect from 10 November 2025.
Background Information
Charlotte Deane will be known as Her Honour Judge Deane. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2002. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013 and as a District Judge in 2017. She was also appointed as a Recorder in 2023.
