Circuit Judge Appointment: Dow
The King has appointed Clive Dow to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Guildford Crown Court, with effect from 12 January 2026.
Background Information
Clive Dow will be known as His Honour Judge Dow. He was called to Bar (Middle Temple) in 2001. He was appointed as a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Health Education and Social Care Chamber, in 2019. He was also appointed as a Recorder in 2022.
