Circuit Judge Appointment: Drake
The King has appointed Rachel Drake to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Reading Crown Court with effect from 2 January 2024.
Rachel Drake will be known as Her Honour Judge Drake. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1995. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2019.
