Circuit Judge Appointment: Dunne
The King has appointed Anthony Dunne to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Sheffield Combined Court Centre, with effect from 24 November 2025.
Background Information
Anthony Dunne will be known as His Honour Judge Anthony Dunne. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1999. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber, in 2019. He was also appointed as a Recorder in 2020, and as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2025.
