Circuit Judge Appointment: Entwistle
The Queen has appointed Matthew James Entwistle to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Civil Justice Centre (Civil and Family Court) with effect from 2 August 2021.
Background Information
Matthew James Entwistle, aged 47, will be known as His Honour Judge Entwistle. He was admitted to the Roll in 2000 and was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2011. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015 and as a District Judge in 2018.
