Circuit Judge Appointment: Grimshaw

The King has appointed Richard Grimshaw to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midlands Circuit, based at Walsall County Court, with effect from 1 November 2024.

Background Information
Richard Grimshaw will be known as His Honour Judge Grimshaw. He was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 2010. He was appointed as an Assistant Coroner in 2017, a Recorder in 2020 and as a Deputy King’s Bench Master in 2020.
