Circuit Judge Appointment: Hale
The Queen has appointed Sean Hale to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Sheffield Combined Court Centre with effect from 30 July 2021.
Background Information
Sean Hale, aged 55, will be known as His Honour Judge Hale. He was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1988. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2003 and as a District Judge in 2007.
