Circuit Judge Appointment: Hobson
The King has appointed Laura Hobson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the Midlands Circuit, based at Stafford Combined Court (Crown) with effect from 06 November 2023.
Laura Hobson will be known as Her Honour Judge Laura Hobson. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2003. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal in 2013, and as a Recorder in 2022.
