Circuit Judge Appointment: Hunter KC
The King has appointed Jane Allison Hunter KC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Luton Crown Court with effect from 4 December 2023.
Jane Allison Hunter KC will be known as Her Honour Judge Hunter. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1986, and took Silk in 2017. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2018, and as a First-tier Tribunal Judge, Health, Education and Social Care Chamber in 2022.
