Circuit Judge Appointment: Hywel James Penodi Barnwr Cylchdaith: Hywel James
The Queen has appointed Hywel Dylan James to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, based at Cardiff Civil and Family Justice Centre with effect from 26 July 2021.
Background Information
Hywel Dylan James, aged 59, will be known as His Honour Judge Hywel James. He was admitted to the Roll in 1986. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2004 and as a District Judge in 2010.
