Circuit Judge Appointment: Jacobs
The King has appointed Amy Jacobs to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the Midlands Circuit, based at Wolverhampton Combined Court (Crown) with effect from 6 November 2023.
Amy Jacobs will be known as Her Honour Judge Amy Jacobs. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2005. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2019, as a Deputy District Judge in 2021, and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal in 2021.
