Circuit Judge Appointment: Lubega
The King has appointed George Lubega to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midlands Circuit, based at Birmingham Crown Court, with effect from 19 January 2026.
Background Information
George Lubega will be known as His Honour Judge Lubega. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1994. He was appointed as a District Judge and Recorder in 2023.
