The Queen has appointed Moira Elizabeth Jane Macmillan to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Western Circuit, based at Bristol Crown Court with effect from 19 September 2022.

Background Information

Moira Elizabeth Jane Macmillan will be known as Her Honour Judge Macmillan. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1995. She was appointed as a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2018, and was assigned to the General Regulatory Chamber in 2020. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2022 and as a Salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal, assigned to the Administrative Appeals Chamber in 2022.
