Circuit Judge Appointment: Maher
The King has appointed Michael Maher to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Midlands Circuit, based at Stoke-on-Trent Combined Court (Crown) with effect from 7 November 2023.
Michael Maher will be known as His Honour Judge Michael Maher. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1995. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2020.
