Circuit Judge Appointment: Thomas
The King has appointed Mark Thomas to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the North East circuit, based at Teesside Combined Court Centre, with effect from 16 September 2024.
Mark Thomas will be known as His Honour Judge Mark Thomas. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2003. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015 and a District Judge in 2018.
