Circuit Judge Appointment: Meegan
The King has appointed Trevor Meegan to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Shrewsbury Crown Court, with effect from 13 January 2025.
Background Information
Trevor Meegan, will be known as His Honour Judge Meegan. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2000. He was appointed as a Fee-Paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2019 and became a Salaried Judge in 2020.
