Circuit Judge Appointment: Newton-Price
The King has appointed James Newton-Price KC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Western Circuit, based at Portsmouth Combined Court (Crown) with effect from 09 October 2023.

James Newton-Price KC will be known as His Honour Judge Newton-Price KC. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1992. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2018.
