Circuit Judge Appointment: Pema
The King has appointed Anesh Pema to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Sheffield Combined Court (County) with effect from 11 December 2023.
Background Information
Anesh Pema will be known as His Honour Judge Anesh Pema. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1994. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010, as a District Judge in 2013, and as a Recorder in 2019.
