Circuit Judge Appointment: Ranson
The King has appointed Ivan Ranson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Civil Justice Centre with effect from 04 December 2023.
Background Information
Ivan Ranson will be known as His Honour Judge Ranson. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1997. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013, and as a District Judge in 2017.
