Circuit Judge Appointment: Reed
The King has appointed Darren Reed to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Inner London Crown Court with effect from 2 January 2024.
Darren Reed will be known as His Honour Judge Reed. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2003. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2019 and as Assistant Judge Advocate General in 2021.
