Circuit Judge Appointment: Samra
The King has appointed Sharn Samra to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Kingston-upon-Hull Combined Court, with effect from 10 November 2025.
Background Information
Sharn Samra will be known as Her Honour Judge Samra. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2002. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2020 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2021.
