Circuit Judge Appointment: Siddique
The King has appointed Bilal Siddique to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at St Albans Crown Court with effect from 16 October 2023.

Bilal Siddique will be known as His Honour Judge Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Siddique. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1996. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019, as a Recorder in 2020, as a salaried Judge of the War Pensions & Armed Forces Compensation Chamber in 2021, as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2021, and as a Diversity & Community Relations Judge in 2022.
