Circuit Judge Appointment: Welsh
The King has appointed Charlotte Welsh to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Woolwich Crown Court with effect from 06 November 2023.
Charlotte Welsh will be known as Her Honour Judge Welsh. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2000. She was appointed as a Tribunal Judge in 2018, as a Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge in 2020, and as a Recorder in 2020.
