District Judge Appointment: Allen

The King has appointed Frances Allen to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. 

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Wandsworth County Court with effect from 2 December 2024.

Background Information

Frances Allen will be known as District Judge Allen. She was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1995. In 2021, she was appointed as a Fee paid Employment Judge and as a Fee paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.
