The King has appointed Farin Anthony to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. 

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midlands Circuit, based at Nottingham County Court with effect from 13 January 2025.

Background Information

Farin Anthony will be known as District Judge Anthony. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2004. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2011 and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2014. In 2024, she was appointed as a Salaried Employment Judge of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales) and as a Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge, Immigration and Asylum Chamber.
