District Judge Appointment: Barber
The King has appointed Eleanor Barber to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the Western Circuit, based at Torquay and Newton Abbot County Court with effect from 3 February 2025.
Background Information
Eleanor Barber will be known as District Judge Barber. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2004. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2022.
