District Judge Appointment: Boorman

The Queen has appointed Stephen Boorman to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Eastern Circuit, based at Kingston-upon-Hull Combined Court Centre with effect from 20 January 2020.

Stephen Boorman, aged 53 will be known as District Judge Boorman. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1996. He was appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2013 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2015.
