District Judge Appointment: Buckley

The Queen has appointed Steven Buckley to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Blackburn County Court with effect from 8 November 2021.

Background Information

Steven Buckley, aged 44, will be known as District Judge Buckley. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2001. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) in 2013 and was assigned to sit in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2018. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
