District Judge Appointment: Chown
The King has appointed Samantha Chown to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Dartford County and Family Court, with effect from 9 January 2024.
Samantha Chown will be known as District Judge Chown. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2011. She was appointed as a Road User Charging Adjudicator in 2019.
