District Judge Appointment: Ditchfield

The Queen has appointed Anthony Michael Ditchfield to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Newcastle Civil & Family Court and Tribunals Centre with effect from 1 November 2021.

Background Information

Anthony Michael Ditchfield, aged 52, will be known as District Judge Ditchfield. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1993. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
