District Judge Appointment: Fagborun Bennett
The King has appointed Morayo Fagborun Bennett to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Central Family Court and Central London Trial Centre, with effect from 15 January 2024.
Morayo Fagborun Bennett will be known as District Judge Fagborun Bennett. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2004. In 2020, she was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and as a Chair of the Valuation Tribunal.
